That's when the man that goes by the name of Peyton Williams Manning began what he does in every single game that he has ever suited up for. Before the end of the 1st half Manning would run off a 71 yard drive in 9 plays and only 3:18 off the clock finished off with a short TD pass to RB Knowshon Moreno to set up the Broncos trailing 14-21 going into halftime with the Chiefs on their heels.
After halftime the Broncos would come out swinging, putting up 21 straight points, all receptions by WR Eric Decker who had 4 TD's in the game, and swing momentum in Manning's direction to give Denver the lead 35-21 with less than a full quarter left to play in regulation. The Chiefs would finish off their following drive of 60 yards on a whopping 17 plays that took up about 7:44 minutes with a TD run by RB Jamal Charles. Denver would hold on to the lead and sole possession of top AFC seed as well as the AFC West leader.

Final Score:
DEN over KC 35-28
Peyton played a great game as usual but did throw 2 INT's on the night along with his 403 yards and 5 TD passes, total of 41 TD passes on the season. Four of Peyton's five TD passes went to Decker who finished the game with 8 catches for a career-high 174 yards. Fellow WR Demaryius Thomas also had a great outing, with 3 receptions for 106 yards, although 77 of those yards came on a single play.
The Chiefs defense has not been the same as of late and let another win slip away from them, well actually Peyton snatched this one away but you know what I mean. Besides the 2 INT's by Peyton early in the 1st half the Chiefs defense allowed the Broncos to do as they pleased for the majority of the game. They were unable to force any sacks on Peyton and gave up over 11 yards per reception, which is the main factor as to why they lost.
