NFL Week 14 Mayhem 2013

There goes another Week 14 of the 2013 NFL Season. Teams are in the middle of a playoff push, some teams are dealing with injuries to important parts of their defense and offense, while others are just trying to make their season reputable.

Here are some of the bigger headlines and final scores followed by all the rest of the final scores from Week 14.

Eagles Survive the Lions in SnowBowl 2013

Matt Rourke/AP
We had the SnowBowl of 2013 with the Detroit Lions traveling into the city of brotherly love to take on the Philadelphia Eagles. In the early half of the game there was so much snow that you couldn't even see what was happening on the field when the camera panned to the press box view of the game. The snow was so bad that no team was able to try field goals or extra points, 2 point conversions only. The Eagles were able to outlast the Lions and come out with the win and continue their push to win the NFC East.

Tom Brady Does it Again!

Associated Press

Things just never seem to let up for Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski. He is now out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL/MCL injury he suffered in a win over the Cleveland Browns. Gronk now being out for the season has a major affect on the Patriots post-season run. They are not completely out of hope since they do have a QB by the name of Tom Brady and a Jedi-mastermind coach in Bill Belichick who will make the necessary steps to put their team in the best position to win. With the way that Tom Brady handled the end of the game when Gronk was already out shows just how good Tom can still make this team. The Patriots, who were without 2 of Brady's favorite rookies to start the day anyways (WR Aaron Dobson, WR Kenbrell Thompkins both out with injuries) got down early as they seem to be doing all season, but then Brady gets the ball with a little time left and makes magic happen. Brady finished his day off with 2 TD's (His only TD's of the game) in the last 61 seconds to give the Patriots the win.

Chiefs Give RG3 and Coach Shanahan More Headaches to Deal With

Pablo Martinez Monsivais | The Associated Press
If the Washington Redskins weren't dealing with enough already, they get destroyed at home to a Chiefs team that was on a 3-game losing streak. They just can't seem to get things together over in the DC area with coach Mike Shanahan being on the hot-seat after a story came out about him emptying his office and about to quit before the playoff game last year because of the way the owner Dan Snyder treats his 1st round draft pick Robert Griffin III. Now there is talk of benching Griffin, who was benched in the 4th quarter, for the remainder of the season for "His Safety". This team, that seemed to have one of the brightest futures before Griffin went down with his ACL injury during their playoff game last January, has fallen into one of the biggest disaster areas in the entire league. Sunday afternoon they watched as the Chiefs, who were trying to recover from a stumble of their own, ran up and down the field for a total of 193 yards on the ground. The Chiefs special teams also came up big setting up a few TD's as well as a 74-yard punt return by RB/PR Dexter McCluster and 95-yard kickoff return by S Quintin Demps for TD's. The Chiefs return game was the biggest x-factor in this game, amassing a whopping 321 yards in the first half alone!
