Monday Night Recap - Week 10 - Miami vs Tampa Bay

What a week it has been for the Miami Dolphins. With all the recent news being surrounded by former Offensive linemen Ritchie Incognito and Jonathan Martin, their was not much talk about Football and I believe it had an adverse affect on this Dolphins team.

The game was up and down with both teams going on a scoring streak. The game started with the Bucs scoring on their first drive of the game on a pass to offensive tackle Donald Penn and getting a field goal on their second possession to put the Bucs up 10-0 going into the 2nd quarter. In the 2nd quarter the Miami Dolphins gave up a safety and another field goal before they were able to score on their final drive of the first half to bring the score to 15-7 going into halftime. The Miami Dolphins then scored 12 more unanswered points (Field goal, TD, and a failed 2 point conversion) to give them the lead 19-15 going into the 4th. Around this time it appeared that Miami was going to be able to prevail against all odds and come out of Tampa Bay with the win. Well that was all gone once Tampa Bay was able to regain the lead on their first possession of the 4th when RB Bobby Rainey capped off an 80 yard drive to give Tampa Bay a 22-19 lead, which they would hold on to, to give them their first win of the season.

My Prediction from last week (Week 10 Preview and Predictions)
TB over MIA 24-21
Final Score:
TB over MIA 22-19

The Miami Dolphins were held to 2 TOTAL yards rushing on 14 attempts (Missing 2 starting offensive linemen will do that to a team). Ryan Tannehill has been sacked a league leading 37 times including 2 on their final possession of the game (Again missing 2 starting offensive linemen are having an obvious affect on this team). The lone bright spot for Dolphins fans after last nights dismal performance was 2nd year WR Rishard Matthews, who was able to bring in 11 catches for 120 yds and 2 TD's. Tampa Bay backup RB Mike James left the game after breaking his left ankle on the Bucs first drive of the game.

The storm is far from over for the Dolphins, but plans are in order to help relieve the stress on the situation. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has put together a committee of Tony Dungy, Don Shula, Dan Marino, Jason Taylor, and Curtis Martin to review all organized activities and make recommendations for improvement. Owner Ross is also scheduled to meet with Jonathan Martin on Wednesday to hear his side of the story.

Well this won't be the last we hear of DolphinsGate and who knows whats next to come in this crazy saga. If you want a quick recap of the rest of the games from this weekend check out my post "NFL Week 10 Mayhem 2013"
