Thursday Night Football Preview - Week 11 - Indianapolis vs Tennessee

This Thursday night we have the Indianapolis Colts, coming off the most surprising loss of the season, going down to play their division rival Tennessee Titans, who are coming off a loss of their own including losing starting QB Jake Locker for the season with a Lisfranc injury to his right foot.

The Colts will be looking to stay atop the AFC South which is almost looking like a cake walk up to this point. After the dismantling that the St Louis Rams put on the Colts I am eager to see how QB Andrew Luck responds after throwing 3 INT's, matching his season total and putting him at six on the year. The Titans on the other hand had their own turnover issues last week, losing 3 fumbles and throwing for an INT as well against the Jacksonville Jaguars, giving the Jags their first win of the season.

The Titans are going to be playing with QB Ryan Fitzpatrick under center who so far this season has 4 TD's and 4 INT's and is 1-3 in games he has played this season. He has a chance to have a great game this Thursday against a Colts defense that has allowed 597 yds and 5 TD's thru the air in their past 2 games and that was with St Louis backup Kellen Clemens and Houston backup Case Keenum in as QB's. The Colts have struggled mightily this season with running the ball including last week when Luck ran for 17 of the teams 18 rushing yards. The acquisition of RB Trent Richardson is starting to look as if the Cleveland Browns got the better half of the deal after everyone thought the Browns management had lost their minds and were tanking the season when they traded away their top pick from 2012's draft class. Richardson has yet to run for more than 60 yds since being acquired by the Colts in Week 3.The last time these two teams met in Tennessee the Colts won on a 16 yd TD pass from Andrew Luck to RB Vick Ballard (who is out for the season with a torn ACL) for a 19-13 win in OT.

If Indianapolis wants to win this Thursday they are going to need to get that running game going early and often against a Titans defense that is giving up an avg of 115 yds per game.

If the Titans want to win this Thursday they are going to need to establish the run as well but with a back up QB in they will also need to limit the number of mistakes they make because that will be the difference maker in this game.

Prediction:
IND over TEN 22-21

I believe this game has what it takes to be a great game and honestly the game could go either way I just believe Luck will be the QB with the fewest mistakes and that is all it takes sometimes in the NFL.

Thanks for reading and be sure to share with all your friends so that they too have a little bit of an idea of how this game should pan out.
