NFL Fantasy Football Who's Hot/Who's Not -WR's- Week 10

If you are like me this week and need help deciding on which WR to roll with then I hope this will help you on making your final decision before Sunday morning. This week were a coming off some great games by WR's including Andre Johnson (9 catches, 229 yds, 3 TD's) Riley Cooper (5 catches, 139 yds, 3 TD's) and TY Hilton (7 catches, 121 yds, 3 TD's), all scoring 30 pts and above last week. Now I don't expect those scores to continue at that rate, I do expect the chemistry with each WR and their QB to continue.

If you are lucky enough to have those receivers I would say go ahead and roll with them again as they all are poised for a great week coming up, with the toughest match-up of those three receivers will be Andre Johnson going against an Arizona Cardinals defense who have been great in limiting WR's in Fantasy Football, but this is All-Pro Andre Johnson we are talking about so I wouldn't read too much into that.

As for everyone else scrambling looking for a WR or have a couple options at the position but just can't decide on who to start, then you came to the right place. This list will be compiled of how they match-up against their counterparts as well as some WR's who are just poised for a great game.

WR - Who's Hot

  •  Keenan Allen - WR San Diego Chargers - Phillip Rivers has created quite the chemistry between himself and rookie WR Keenan Allen. Allen has 26 receptions since Week 5 for 417 yds and 3 TD's. This week they will be facing a Denver Broncos defense that is giving up the 6th most points to opposing WR's this season.
  • Pittsburgh Steelers WR's - The Steelers are facing Buffalo Bills defense that is giving up the 2nd most points to opposing WR's this season. The Bills have only one game where they did not surrender a TD to a WR and that was last week against a Chiefs offense who could not get anything rolling and had to rely on their defense for the win. Antonio Brown would be my first choice of Pittsburgh's WR's then Jerricho Cotchery and Emmanuel Sanders in that order.
  • Alshon Jeffery - WR Chicago Bears - I have been big on Jeffery before and he unfortunately he laid a goose egg, but that was the only game where he had a bad outing. With Jeffery leading the Bears over the past 5 weeks with 517 receiving yards (All-Pro WR Brandon Marshall has 430 yds in that span) and facing a Detroit Lions team that is giving up the 4th most points to WR's on the season this should be a no brainer. But beware he was poised for a great game against the Giants in week 6 and came up with only 1 reception for 27 yds, amassing a lowly 3 points.
  • Doug Baldwin - WR Seattle Seahawks - With the Atlanta Falcons giving up the 3rd most TD's to WR's this season and with Baldwin getting the most looks now that Rice is on IR I would feel safe plugging Baldwin into a Flex position. Fellow Seattle WR Golden Tate is another option but because he is more of a hit or miss WR I feel more comfortable with Baldwin's consistency (lead the team with 6 receptions last week, while Tate had 3)
WR - Who's Not
  • San Francisco 49ers WR's - The only WR the 49ers have that I could give any consideration to would be Anquan Boldin, but even then I would much rather look elsewhere for help at WR this week. Boldin will be matching up against a Carolina Panthers' defense that has not given up a TD to opposing WR's for the last six weeks! With Mario Manningham making a return this week it should open up a little wiggle room for Boldin, but I wouldn't bet on him getting more than 5 catches or 70 yds this Sunday.
  • Atlanta Falcons WR's - I would leave all the WR's the Falcons have left on waivers or bench this week. Stacking up against one of the stingiest defenses to WR's this season, allowing only 4 TD's in all 9 games this season, Falcon's WR's are a bust this weekend. If Atlanta still had WR Julio Jones (out for season with foot fracture) and a healthy Roddy White (Hamstring injury), this would be a totally different conversation. With what they have left at WR against one of, if not the best secondary in all of football (Legion of Boom), I'm not touching anything Atlanta related this week.
  • Steve Smith - WR Carolina Panthers - The Panthers are going up against a San Francisco defense that has only given up 5 TD's to WR's all season. This game should be a ground and pound game and that will be because the defense's are going to be playing so well against each others offense. With the 49ers getting DE Aldon Smith back (Game time decision, but come on Harbaugh put him in the day after he was arrested, expect him to be in) there should be a lot of pressure on Cam Newton and running may be the only way to hamper that.
  • Baltimore Ravens WR's - The Ravens #1 receiver Torrey Smith has only scored once all season and this week will be going against division rival Cincinnati Bengals who have only allowed 6 TD's to WR's this year, although they have given up over 100 yds receiving each game this season and are ranked 11th against WR's in Fantasy Football this season. If you have better options use them this week because this match-up is a bit too risky.
