NFL Week 10 Mayhem 2013

Another Weekend Down, Another Weekend of Mayhem.

Quick Recap of a few games from Week 10 in the NFL:

St. Louis Rams Pulls out the Upset

The St Louis Rams beat who? By how much? That might be the most shocking update of my weekend. I was in the middle of watching the Seattle Seahawks destroy the Atlanta Falcons, when it was interrupted by a "Game Break" of St Louis WR/Return man Tavon Austin returning a 98 yd punt return as well as his 2 TD receptions. I don't know much about Austin, but I do know his name has been rumbling around the Fantasy Football world all season, and now I can finally understand why. Ill be sure to have this game on my recap section down below so for those of you who missed the game I will give you a pretty good summary of how the game went down.

Green Bay Down Another QB

We also had the Green Bay Packers resort to their 3rd string QB Scott Tolzien after backup QB Seneca Wallace went down with a groin injury on the Packers opening possession. By the looks of things the Packers will have a tough time if they still have aspirations to make the playoffs, with starting QB Aaron Rodgers being out 4-6 weeks with a fractured collarbone.

NFC (L)EAST Stirs Up More Commotion Over Mediocrity

Just when the Cowboys have a chance to set themselves away from the pack they slip up in New Orleans (No easy feat, but very important game). The Washington "Professional Football Team" had a chance to be right back in the thick of things when they went into Minnesota but came up short and were unsuccessful in their final 4th and goal attempt. The Eagles have brought themselves back into division leading talks with the way QB Nick Foles (Who is still not considered the starter once Mike Vick comes back) has played of late, 10 TD's in the last 2 games with no INT's and 1 fumble loss. The New York Giants have put themselves back into the mix after their 3 game winning streak after starting the season 0-6.

Well anyways that is just a few headlines from Week 10 of the NFL Season.

Here is a few short recaps from a few games around the league, and also all of the final scores from Week 10 of the NFL.

Thursday Night Football:
WSH @ MIN

What a great game we had last Thursday. It was the Washington Football Team against the Minnesota Vikings in a showdown at the Mall Of America Dome in Minneapolis, MN. The game started great for both teams, except for 1 INT by Vikings QB Christian Ponder on his first drive of the game. The Vikings defense gave up 24 points in the first half, with 3 TD's thrown by Robert Griffin III. The second half all that ended with the Vikings defense stepping up and only allowing a field goal the rest of the game. Washington on the other hand gave up 20 unanswered points after their field goal on their opening drive of the 2nd half. Adrian Peterson was then able to run out the clock and left RG3 and company with 3:36 left in the 4th to try a miraculous comeback. RG3 was able to get his team into the red zone but could not convert with his final pass attempt going to WR Santana Moss trying to bring in the ball but could not keep his feet inside the end zone.
MIN over WSH 34-27

Sunday Afternoon Games:
STL @ IND:
Do not underestimate the St Louis Rams defensive line, or their rookie WR Tavon Austin. The rookie WR Austin finished the game out with 310 total yds and 3 TD's. As for their defensive line, on the Colts opening possession DE Robert Quinn caused a Sack/Strip that fellow DE Chris Long was able to scoop up and run in for a TD to start the scoring early for the Rams. Indianapolis was unable to score until late into the 3rd QTR when they were already trailing 35-0 and were able to convert for a 2pt conversion on that TD as well to give them 8 points. The Rams were able to sack Colts QB Andrew Luck 3 times as well as picking off 4 passes from the second year QB. WR Tavon Austin joins Randy Moss and Gale Sayers as the only rookies to have 3 TD's over 50 yds in a single game.
STL over IND 38-8

SEA @ ATL:
The Seattle Seahawks came to play Sunday afternoon, and from the sound of things so did the 12th man. By the end of the game the only people in the stands were Seahawk fans, and boy were they letting it be known. Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch had his best game of the season, topping last weeks performance, and was able to pound the Falcon's defense for 145 yds and 1 TD on 24 carries. Seattle had already outscored the Falcons 23-3 going into half time and held to Falcon's to only 1 TD the entire game that came in the 3rd QTR. This had to mean a lot to the Seahawks, who just last January gave up 20 points while they were unable to score in the first half, this time only allowing a field goal in the first half while they put up 23 points. In a show of respect at the end of regulation, Atlanta Falcon's TE Tony Gonzalez swapped jerseys with Seattle Seahawks CB Richard Sherman.
SEA over ATL 33-10

Monday Night Football:
MIA @ TB
