2013 NFL Week 4 Mayhem

What a weekend of football. We had the Seattle Seahawks on the road in Houston, down 20-3 at halftime, with a huge comeback win in OT. Peyton Manning was his usual self and helped the Denver Bronco's put a beating on Chip Kelly's bunch of Eagles with a win, that actually was the most points ever scored by the Denver Bronco's, with a final of 52-20.

That wasn't all the action from this past weekend. How about them Cleveland Browns! They were able to shock the state of Ohio this past Sunday with a 17-6 victory over the in-state rival Cincinnati Bengals. Brian Hoyer is now 2-0 as a starter in the NFL and lets not forget about their gigantic TE Jordan Cameron. Cameron had another spectacular day with 10 catches for 91 yds and a TD. He has totaled 5 TD's in 4 games this year and thats with 2 seperate QB's throwing the ball his way.

Sunday night we were witness to the New England Patriots starting 4-0 for the 3rd time under coach Belichik, the first since 2007 when they started 18-0, when they came down to Atlanta and pulled out the win 30-23. They also lost a huge piece of their defense when Vince Wilfork went out with a torn Achilles Tendon. How they fare the rest of the season will depend on if the rest of their defense can plug the holes and get after the QB the way that Wilfork did.

Our football weekend ended with the Miami Dolphins paying a visit to the New Orleans Saints. Before we get any further on this game I would like it to be known that behind Peyton Manning, I have Drew Brees as a top MVP candidate thru 4 weeks this season. So on to Monday Night Football! Drew Brees lit the scoreboard up this game with 412 passing yards and 4 touchdowns. This was the 117th straight game with scoring a TD for the Saints, who scored their opening drive touchdown within the first 4 1/2 minutes of play. The night ended with Ryan Tannehill throwing 3 INT's to 1 TD, while on the other side of the field Drew Brees was having a field day, on the receiving end of most of the fun for Drew was a smaller statured guy named Darren Sproles. Sproles brought down 7 Rec's for 114 yds and a Rec TD, as well as 4 carries for 28 yds and a Rush TD.

The rest of the NFL scores:

SD over DAL 31-20
SEA over HOU  23-20 OT
WSH over OAK 24-14
TEN over NYJ 38-13
BUF over BAL 23-20
DET over CHI 40-32
