NFL Fantasy Football Who's Hot/Who's Not -QB's- Week 8

We are approaching the half way point of the season this weekend. What a ride it has been so far and it should only get better with the matches we have coming in the latter half of the season when teams are doing what they have to to make sure they make the playoffs. This week we have several teams on a Bye week so you may need a little more help than usual and if so hopefully this will help you enough to be the victor come Tuesday morning.

QB's - Who's Hot
  • Robert Griffin III - RG3 is going up a Denver secondary that is giving up the most points to opposing QB's. Denver's defense best game Fantasy wise was against the still winless Jaguars and still gave up over 303 yds passing. RG3 seems to be getting his legs back and is really starting to get it together and play like the guy who won the Rookie of the Year last year.
  • Carson Palmer - This is only a deep pick up if you need a Bye week fill in. Palmer is going against a Falcons defense that has yet to stop a QB from throwing multiple TD's. He is available in most leagues, albeit for a reason (8 TD and 13 INT), he is a risk but if you don't have any options at QB and need someone for this week only, go for it but understand he does have a habit of throwing INT's.
  • Eli Manning - Only because of match up do I like Eli this week. He is going against an Eagles defense that is giving up about 19 pts a game to opposing QB's. Like Palmer above this is a bit risky but with all the teams on a Bye this week you don't really have much of an option if you need a QB.
QB's - Who's Not
  • Ryan Tannehill - Tannehill will be going up against a Patriots defense that has averaged about 13 pts to opposing QB's. Tannehill plays the Patriots 2 times a year and last year he threw for 421 yds, no TD's, and 1 pick. I expect a similar game as last years and he is not someone I would roll with this week.
  • Terrelle Pryor - The Oakland Raiders will be taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend and the way that the Steelers have played against QB's (only have allowed 5 pass TD's thus far) I would leave Pryor on my bench this week, even with all the teams on Bye weeks.
  • Geno Smith - This is a tough call with him playing a Cincinnati Bengals defense that has been scorched over the past couple weeks by opposing QB's. I don't expect the Bengals to allow another game like the previous two where they have gave up 573 yds and 5 TD's combined. I believe the Bengals D will hunker down this weekend and give the rookie QB a rough day.

Good luck and be sure to check back as I will be posting my WR & RB list tomorrow.

Thank you for reading and hope my advice will give you the help you need.
