Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals

Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals Week 7

Thursday Night Football

Preview:

Tonight we have a NFC West Division Rival game. The Seattle Seahawks will be traveling into the University of Phoenix Stadium to take on the Arizona Cardinals. The last time the Seahawks were in Arizona, Week 1 2012, they came up short when Russell Wilson was unable to convert their final drive into a game winning TD and instead threw 3 incompletions to end their final shot in Arizona's red-zone(It was Russell Wilson's first game as Starting QB). The final of that game was 20-16, however the next game these two teams played in Seattle last December, Seattle put a whooping on the Cardinals for a final score of 58-0.

The Hawks record against the Cardinals in Arizona since the 2005 season is 2-7 which will be another reason for the Hawks to get pumped for this game. This will be a different team from last year with new coach Bruce Arians and QB Carson Palmer now on the Cardinals roster. The Cardinals are ranked 5th against the run (Card's have only given up 1 Rush TD this season and 90.7 yds per game) this year which will make the front line of Arizona's defense vs RB Marshawn Lynch a key to watch during the game (Seahawks are ranked 2nd in Rush yds w/ 157.7 per game).

Some key factors for this game will be the Cardinals running game with rookie Andre Ellington becoming more and more the every down back, as Rashard Mendenhall is slowly slipping into the end of the road for his career. The Seahawks secondary a.k.a.The Legion of Boom will have their hands full with trying to make Pro Bowl WR Larry Fitzgerald a non-factor but its a task I believe Sherman and Browner will be prepared for.

Injury Report:

Seattle - The Seahawks will be without starting T Breno Giacomini (knee) and 2nd year Starting LB Bobby Wagner (ankle).

Arizona - The Arizona Cardinals will be without WR Brittan Golden (hamstring)

Prediction:

With this contest being between two NFC West division rivals and being in Arizona, I predict that the L.O.B.(Legion of Boom) will be able to hold Fitzgerald to similar numbers as their last meeting (1 catch for 2 yds) although Fitz does have better QB this time around so maybe he musters up 1 maybe 2 more catches. Lynch was able to run all over the Card's defense last year for a whopping 128 yds on 11 carries and 3 TD's and even tho the Cardinals have improved on their rushing defense it wont be enough to stop "Beast Mode". The Seahawks get out of this one with a win in late fashion.

Final Score - SEA over ARI 23-17
