NFL Week 5 2013 Preview & Predictions

2 Sentence Predictions

This will be a routine blog every week where I will summarize my prediction of each coming NFL game this weekend in 2 sentences,  along with my score prediction. I will also do a quick recap of the Thursday Night game as well.

So lets begin:

Thursday Night Football Recap:

The Buffalo Bills were facing off against the Cleveland Browns in First Energy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio last night. The game started with the Browns losing starting QB Brian Hoyer with a torn ACL on the second drive of the game. He wasn't the only QB to go down during the game, Buffalo Bills starting QB EJ Manuel also left the game with what appeared to be a knee injury. The game was actually very interesting for 2 teams that have a history of bad football tendencies. Travis Benjamin the PR for the Browns had a huge night, when he had a Cleveland Browns best 179 punt return yards as well as a spectacular 79 yd return in the 2nd Qtr. Brandon Weeden was able to come in for the Browns when Hoyer went out and he was able to keep the game in their favor, beating the Bills 37-24 after 13 unanswered points in the 4th Qtr.

Predictions:

SEA @ IND - The Legion of Boom has been traveling well, helping the Seahawks win 5 of their last 6 road games. As long as Seattle's offense line can give Russell Wilson the time, he will take it over from there.  SEA over IND 27-21

NO @ CHI - Drew Brees has made Jimmy Graham the best offensive weapon in football. Chicago coming off their first loss, getting ready for their second. NO over CHI 35-28

NE @ CIN - Andy Dalton and AJ Green Explode early. Dalton makes a mistake and Brady capitalizes with a 4th Qtr comeback. NE over CIN 30-27

DET @ GB - Lions are making some noise in the NFC North but they have not won in Green Bay since 1991. Rodgers coming off a bye will be Discount Double Checking before the last horn sounds. GB over DET 34-24

KC @ TEN - Chiefs improve to 5-0 after going 2-14 last year. Titans without Locker for a few weeks and Fitzpatrick, his replacement, wont be able to get them over the hump this weekend. KC over TEN 17-13

JAX @ STL - Jacksonville is the worst team in the NFL, I expect them to lose every game. St Louis is not doing too much better but they're home and they're playing the worst team in the league so they win by default(maybe). STL over JAX 13-3

BAL @ MIA - Ray Rice should be back to his usual self this week. Miami's offensive line has let Ryan Tannehill get sacked 18 times already this year, Tannehill say hello to Haloti Ngata. BAL over MIA 30-24

PHI @ NYG - Eagles defense has looked horrendous so far this season. Problem is the New York Football Giants have looked worse. PHI over NYG 35-31

CAR @ ARI - Good news for Arizona, Rashad Johnson will be back so the new foam finger n a half should sell pretty well. Bad news for Arizona, Carolinas front 7 are one of the best in football and Cam Newton is looking to be the #1 pick he was chosen to be. CAR over ARI 33-17

DEN @ DAL - Watch out Jerry, that Manning guy is coming to town. Peyton is playing some of the best football ever seen, why would it stop in Dallas? DEN over DAL 42-34

SD @ OAK - The late start wont affect the outcome of this match-up of AFC West rivals. Oakland QB situation is a joke right now and that is the complete opposite of whats going to be happening on the other sideline with Phillip Rivers. SD over OAK 34-10

HOU @ SF - San Francisco is coming off a much needed win against divisional rival St Louis and are looking to keep momentum going. Houston is coming off a tough OT loss and will be looking to take it out on another NFC West team. HOU over SF 23-20

NYJ @ ATL - Atlanta looking to get back on their feet after a loss at home to New England last Sunday night. Circus comes to town for Atlanta, how many mistakes will the Jets and Geno make this Monday night. ATL over NYJ 28-20
