Fantasy Football Who's Hot/Who's Not RB/WR Week 6

Alright some of you may have players on byes this week. Hopefully you haven't had to rely on any of the RB's from either team on bye this week (ATL & MIA), if so you should definitely check this out. If you were affected by the Julio Jones injury, feel free to let out a good ARRGGHHHH! Alright now that we have that out of the way, time for some Fantasy Football help.

WR - Who's Hot
  • Alshon Jeffery - IF HE IS AVAILABLE GRAB HIM NOW! I hope I was very straight forward there, but seriously 10 REC for 218 YDS. Jeffery will be matching up against a Giants defense that has allowed opposing QB's to throw all over the field on them. Expect the same thing to happen this Sunday, with most of the attention that they can give will be on Brandon Marshall should set up Jeffery for another productive day.
  • TY Hilton -  Alright just to be sure, we all are aware of what Andrew Luck and TY Hilton were able to do to the Legion of Boom last weekend right? Ok well this week Hilton will be matching up against a San Diego defense that has allowed over 175 YDS thru the air every game so far this season. Hilton should expect to hit a few more big passing plays against the Chargers secondary and be considered a good WR2 and very strong Flex play this week.
  • Mike Williams/Vincent Jackson - You should consider this match-up one worth the gamble on either receiver this weekend. Vincent Jackson torched Philly's secondary last year and that Eagle's have an even worse secondary this year, especially when it comes to fantasy points to opposing WR's. Although they will be receiving these catches from Mike Glennon, I would take the risk if I had to.
WR - Who's Not
  • All STL WR's - This is a match-up call, but the Rams will be playing the Houston Texans this week. The Texans are allowing the fewest fantasy points to opposing WR's this year and with the lack of protection for Ram's QB Sam Bradford, you should not expect any receiver out there for the Ram's to produce enough value worth any Fantasy League play.
  • All ARI WR's - Now I am not completely sold on the 49ers being who they were thought to be at the beginning of the year, I do know that they are second to Houston (see above) for points allowed to Fantasy WR's this season. This situation is very similar to the St Louis in that the QB wont be able to get the throws he wants this weekend. If you have Fitzgerald, maybe a flex worthy role this week but I wouldn't roll on it.
  • All TEN WR's - The Legion of Boom has some steam they have to let off their chest this weekend and unfortunately for the Titans they will be the ramming buddies this weekend. Not to mention Seattle is at home and all I know from my own personal experience (Every Hawks game I attend my voice does not return until at the earliest  the following Thursday) is that you do not bet against the Seahawks at home.
RB - Who's Hot
  •  Bilal Powell - Powell is a great choice if available to pick-up in your league. He is the leading back on a Jets team that is looking like they may be onto something with rookie QB Geno Smith. Chris Ivory is in the backfield as well but he shouldn't take too many snaps away from Powell. Rex Ryan is a run first coach so expect Powell to have a solid game against a horrendous Steelers run defense.
  • Willis McGahee - McGahee will be going up against a Lions defense that averages over a TD a game to opposing RB's. With Weeden back in is QB for the Browns and with extra attention they should give to TE Jordan Cameron and WR Josh Gordon, McGahee should be able to break into the end zone, if your needing YDS I would leave McGahee alone but his goal line rushes should get to paydirt.
  • Danny Woodhead - With Ryan Matthews doing his best Ryan Matthews impression (injury plagued career) someones gotta get the ball in the Chargers backfield. Although they are going up against a Colts defense that has only allowed one 100 YD rushing to Marshawn Lynch, Woodhead does have a pass catching factor that is becoming more and more like a Drew Brees & Darren Sproles scenario.
RB- Who's Not
  • BenJarvis Green-Ellis - Green-Ellis is a TD Vulcher, but this weekend going up against a Bills defense that has only allowed one rushing TD on the season. If you have him on your team this weekend I would look elsewhere.
  • Le'Veon Bell - Alright so I know his first game was pretty amazing and hopefully you snatched him off waivers. This weekend wont go down the same as when Bell was playing the Vikings in London. That's because this weekend he will be running against a stout Jets defensive line that have yet to allow over 80 YDS Rushing. Only play Bell if you have no other options otherwise let him ride the bench this week until we see more of how teams play against him with a game plan.
  • CJ Spiller - I know all Spiller's Fantasy Owner's have not enjoyed the wild roller coaster ride they are getting with him. With Fred Jackson being able to fill his role on the starting lineup and his injury problems I would either try and trade him and get what you can. Even if he is ready to start this Sunday, against a strong Bengals defense that has only allowed 2 rushing TD's all season, I would be very weary of playing Spiller.
Alright hopefully this is able to help you get a victory this weekend. Next week I will have a piece on all positions.
